Your Hope is Remaining organizing special health camps for poor women in the Thulukkampatti and Authupatti villages of Thuvarankurichy Village Panchayat in Tiuchirappalli District, Tamil Nadu since the year – 2000. Distributing free medicines, follow-up treatment and minerals and vitamins enriched nutritional food packets. 2000 Poor women from the age group of 15 to 70.

In the villages of Ponnamptti, Udayaptti villages, 400 school going children were distributed School Bags, Books, Note Books, and other learning materials by Mrs. Salma, the founder trustee with her own mobilized fund.

The another one camp is orgnised at Ayyanarkovilpatti and Thalappatti village Government School children for distribution of Chapels, School Bags, Note Books and Learning Tools. Round 530 Children had been benefited.

  • To plan and implement community participated government and government sponsored programmes on rural development such as wasteland development, water harvesting, aforestation , environmental regeneration, animal welfare, biodiversity conservation, and natural resources promotion and management and other rural development activities through awareness and education camps. Campaigns, workshops meetings and field activities also planned.

  • To promote medicinal plant based indigenous health care, nutritional food system, herbal gardens, kitchen gardens, nursery plants through community participation. Social sustainability is predicated upon the increased importance of traditional medicines in the medical services delivery systems in the local area. As more and more people find it increasingly difficult to access conventional allopathic medical services, they will resort to traditional medicines making the development of this system of delivery of medicinal services more socially sustainable. With increased recognition of traditional medicine as an alternative parallel system of providing primary health care and increased attention to developing traditional medicine into an evidence based practice, it is possible that more and more people will turn to it and increase its potential for providing sustainable livelihoods.

  • To start formal, non formal, vocational and technical education training programmes, primary health care, counseling and legal aid centers, de-addiction centre, libraries and documentation centres, hostels and rehabilitation homes for the weaker sections of the society to attain the good status of socio economic development.

  • To popularize renewable energy systems like solar lights, cookers and wind mills for energy self reliance among the rural people and involve the rural community in conservation and utilization of local resources and eco friendly farm activities i.e., bio fertilizers, bio pesticides and cropping Organic vegetables on ensuring rural income generation.

  • To organize awareness camps on human rights women rights, child rights and the rights of minorities and to involve in eradication and rehabilitation measures through counseling, advocacy and other institutional and non institutional services.

  • To make sure the participation of women as major stakeholders in all aspects of project identification, design, and implementation.

  • To develop synergies to enhance the self-employment: the combination of labor-based approaches, community contracting, small enterprise development and infrastructure improvement can provide a major boost to the local community economy.


Considerable progress has been made towards achieving the project goals and objectives over the past four years. In the coming years, we shall make efforts to achieve our goals to promote the rural women and children in our project area and to extend our project to the districts of more child marriage practices prevailing and to abolish early forced child marriage practices.
